For those using the OpenConf software:
Our usage of data collected through the software on the OpenConf Hosting Service platform (OpenConf.org), only, is covered by the above policy.
As the data collected in the OpenConf software is managed and possibly administered by a third party, such as an event or journal, and available for their use and export outside our control, you should request their privacy policy prior to submitting any information through the software. They would also be the ones who can advise on whether information is sent to optional outside services such as plagiarism detection and copyright submission, as well as assist with deletion requests. A Contact Us menu link is typically provided on each OpenConf installation or account for emailing the administrators; using our Contact link below will not reach them.
Information on the OpenConf software privacy features, including third-party providers, is available in our Support section privacy documentation page.
